Only light snow accumulations are expected, mainly north of US Highway 30. Temperatures will range from the low 30's across northern Ohio to upper 30's near the Ohio River. Showers will become more widespread Thursday with a chance for thunderstorms possible in southern Ohio by late evening. Showers and thunderstorms will continue Thursday night before colder air arrives on Friday. Rain will change to snow showers on Friday as temperatures fall through the 40's into the 30's. On and off snow showers will linger Friday night into Saturday with light accumulations possible. Temperatures will only top out in the 30's Saturday and rebound into the 40's Saturday as skies clear.
The 2011-2012 winter forecast was released by NOAA which forecasts a stormy winter for Ohio. This could mean more significant snow storms or prehaps even an increased risk of flooding.
