Controversy is brewing over a high school graduation ceremony.

The controversy centers around what two students want to wear at the ceremony and when they walk across the stage to get their diploma.

Will McDonnell, an active duty Marine and Tony Workman, an Army National Guardsman, will soon graduate from Chardon High School in Geauga County.

McDonell took extra classes and met his graduation requirements last fall so he could attend a Marine boot camp in February.

Workman went through the Army basic training last summer.

The two military men want to wear their military uniforms instead of their caps and gowns to their high school graduation, but school officials are saying no way.

Both students said they'll skip the ceremony because of the school's decision.
