Morgan County is a relatively quiet and quaint region that 15,000 people call home.

"I think it's just the family atmosphere," said Angela Clawson who has lived here since Kindergarten.

Lori Vynalek moved to McConnellsville ten years ago from Pittsburgh with her husband.

Vynalek said things exploded from within when she moved here and she put her inspiration to canvass and then to handbags. She now sells the homemade clutches.

Her business is helped by the mother-daughter team of Connie Bebout and Janet Newcome of nearby Stockport.

"This gives me a little bit of spending money," said Bebout. It is a bonus for the retired hairdresser who lives on a fixed income.

Bebout and Newcome make money while helping a Vynalek build her handbag business.

"This would have never happened for me had I not moved here," said Vynalek.

Her business is booming and getting attention from designer Prada. She hopes to make a small dent in Morgan County's 15.8 percent unemployment rate.

"I'm hoping eventually as I  grow, fingers crossed, that I can have a distribution center down here and employ some people," said Vynalek.
