It was 2007 when Connie Daly lost her job after 12 years. Her position was eliminated because of the collapsing auto part industry.
"It's very hard. I've applied in Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Detroit. I'll move," said Daly.
She is taking care of two teens all on her own, and said she's barely getting by.
"I try to save pop cans we turn those in and I take the kids to the movies," she told ONN's Stephanie Mennecke.
Those are the good days. The other days are filled with job searches and continuous rejections.
It is a disheartening process, but one she knows she must continue.
"They keep me going. If it wasn't for my kids, I probably would just give up. I do it for them," said Daly.
