Audrey Tuckerman is First Vice President of Investments at Merrill Lynch, one of the world's leading financial management and advisory companies.

Although there aren't a lot of women in finance, Tuckerman said she's been given every opportunity to work with great people who did not care about gender.

"People have always talked about how my energy is overflowing and my passion is very clear. I motivate other people to be the best they can be," said Tuckerman.

She and her husband Brian use many of the same business philosophies to raise their three children:  Jake, 14, Sammy, 12, and Maddie, 9.

"I put pressure on them not to succeed; I put pressure on them to do the best they can do. I always say you never want to hear 'you have a lot of potential.' It's what you do with that potential," Tuckerman explained.

When she was a young girl, Tuckerman learned the importance of community service. Over the years she has volunteered countless hours and served on many boards.

As Chair-Elect of the YWCA, she led the capital campaign to raise $6.5 million so that homeless families could have a place to recover and transition to permanent housing.

Every year, the Tuckerman family serves breakfast on Thanksgiving at the Family Center.

"I try to teach them the world is much bigger than them, much bigger than us and we have a tremendous responsibility to making the world a better place," said Tuckerman.

Audrey Tuckerman is one of six YWCA Women of Achievement. The 25th class will be honored at a luncheon on April 7, 2010 and ONN will feature each incredible woman in our "Ohio's Woman" segment on Wednesdays.
