Liz Lancaster adjusts her hearing aid. At 91 years old, hearing loss is the only major medical problem she encounters lately. Well, for the most part.

"I have to yell at her sometimes because she doesn't hear otherwise," said her husband Wilbur Lancaster, from his recliner.

Wilbur turned 91 years old a few days ago; Liz turns 92 on May 29, ONN's Denise Alex reported.

Birthdays aren't the only thing they are celebrating. The Columbus couple will have been married for 73 years on June 12.

The Lancasters grew up in Kentucky. They said they remember when and where they met as if it were yesterday.

"She was in the 8th grade and I was a freshman in high school," Wilbur said.

When asked if it was true love, Liz answered, "not really, I think we just sort of got together. He was very attractive and a lot of girls liked him."

The couple raised four daughters. Two of them, Jo Plunkett and Marlene Lancaster, live in Columbus and now help care for them, Alex reported.

Liz was a homemaker. Wilbur was a farmer who got into insurance and realty. Together they share their love of family, church, travel, and humor.

When asked if there is anything about his wife that annoys him, Wilbur chuckled, "Oh, there are so many I don't know what to mention!"

The Lancasters admit they've had their ups and down, but said the secret to their long-lasting marriage is give and take.

"It's never 50-50 and whatever percentage that it is, the wife usually has the lesser," Liz laughed.

They are wise words from a woman who is all ears when it comes to catering to her husband, even though he jokingly gives her grief when she starts talking about one of her sisters.

"She wants to hear about you, not your sister," Wilbur yelled from his recliner.

"I heard you Dad!" Liz gave the TV camera a wink as she yelled back to the love of her life.
