A contest is underway across Ohio, and it's not too late to enter.
The contest will award a brand new suit to four Ohio men from the U.S. armed forces.
Jim Rieser, VP of Sales for Hunter & Lords, said putting it together has been an eye-opening experience.
"We forget about these guys, I mean we really do," Rieser said. "I mean I'm guilty as charged, we forget about them."
Rieser is giving away four brand new suits for our military.
"In our little way we are trying to help those military personnel get that next job," Rieser said.
Anyone across the state can enter the competition, and when it's over, the four winners will be announced. One winner will be chosen from each branch of the service: Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines.
"It just makes your jaw drop, you just go 'Wow,'" said Marine Brad Fisher.
Fisher knows what it's like to come home and expect to have a job waiting for you.
"That didn't happen unfortunately, so now I'm scrambling to find a new job," Fisher said. "Something outside of the work I was used to."
Fisher said having a custom-made, top-of-the-line suit, would give anyone added confidence.
"It's one less thing that we have to worry about when going into an interview," Fisher said.
It's also one less purchase.
When soldiers return, it's not only finding a job, it's sometimes finding a home and car in a life they put on hold for their country.
"Unemployment in Ohio is three percent higher for vets than it is for everyone else. There is something wrong with that," Rieser said.
The contest is open until July 4 and anyone can enter a soldier's name.
The essay submission must be 500 words explaining why your soldier deserves a new custom suit.
The Hunter & Lords suit is valued at $900 and the winners will also get a pair of Allen Edmonds shoes, worth $325.
