With Thanksgiving over, the yearly search for the family Christmas tree starts for many.
Families will come in droves to the Saum Family Farm in Fairfield County over the next few weeks to buy local, real Christmas trees, ONN's Harrison Hove reported.
"If you buy one locally, we have all local help, the whole family," said farmer Paul Saum.
You can browse hundreds of trees and several different species. Some are tall, some are short, and there's almost any kind you can imagine.
A purchase here keeps your money in Ohio. Most artificial trees are produced overseas and made
from petroleum based products.
At the Saum Family Farm, every tree purchased is replaced with a new seedling.
"Last year we replaced two blocks. We ground the stumps out, and they're already planted back. The little ones replace big trees sold last year," Saum said.
Come enjoy the holiday scents of fresh Christmas trees with all the family fanfare.
"They have free hot chocolate, and free cookies, heated restrooms," Saum said.
When buying that tree, make a sustainable and environmentally friendly choice this holiday
season.
