Women are forging new paths in business leadership roles in Ohio and it's happening in industries dominated by men.

Ohio Means Business shares the story of two business leaders and how they are redefining the role of women in the manufacturing and information technology industries.

The program also examines the status of women business leaders and why they're important to a company's vitality.

Guests include Karen Buchwald Wright, president and CEO of Ariel Corporation. She was just 14-years-old when her father designed the first gas compressor that would become the engine of her family's business. Not only did Wright grow up in the business, she’s now in charge of growing it.

Another woman featured on Ohio Means Business is in the driver's seat of a fast-growing internet startup in Columbus. Pamela Springer is president and CEO of Manta, an online business listing data provider.  She talks about her company’s rapid growth, her leadership style, and her journey through the constantly evolving information technology industry.

Ohio Means Business also gets the bottom line on remaining barriers still keeping many women from top executive positions in Ohio and why that could be hurting business with Carol Clark, president of the Women for Economic and Leadership Development, or WELD.
