Shelves are stocked full of all things Ohio at stores around the state.
'Celebrate Local' gives customers the opportunity to buy local and support Ohio businesses.
"Purchasing can really reflect their values. In a project like this, it's very intuitive and something we should all be doing. People want more opportunities to do that," explained store manager and Global Gallery Owner Connie De Jong.
From salsa to wine and jewelry to skin care products, the Buckeye state's own small business owners get to showcase their products and talents in this unique store at Easton Town Center.
"We're hoping it will drive business to existing locations as well as provide opportunity on the internet and social network to drive sales especially during the holiday season," added Economic and Community Development Institute President Steve Fireman.
The store is part of a collaboration between the Economic and Community Development Institute, Global Gallery, and the Easton Community Foundation which donated the store front and paid utilities.
The store allows business owners to show off their products and establish a more intimate connection with potential clients.
"Business owners get a really direct relationship with the consumer and direct feedback about what's working, what people like and even interaction with the consumer," said De Jong.
The reviews are positive with business owners hoping to see growth from this opportunity.
"It really does access a totally different realm that wouldn't have been accessible. The customers are really enthusiastic as well as soon as they taste the product," explained Dan Riesenberger owner of Dan the Baker, a local bread and pastry company.
