This holiday season in Cincinnati it's "all aboard" at the Krohn Conservatory within Eden Park.

"Trains, Trestles and Traditions" is the theme for a brand new exhibit.

"You can see that this is the Incline building going up into Mt. Adams and it's surrounded by a number of buildings that are Mt. Adams landmarks," said Andrea Schepmann, general manager of the Krohn Conservatory.

Cincinnati landmarks from the Brent-Spence Bridge to the Eiffel Tower at King's Island and, of course, the Krohn Conservatory make up the exhibit. The elaborate train display is the work of Applied Imagination, a Cincinnati-area firm that specializes in these displays.

"The fact that they could get these in such small scale, make them look historically correct and use natural materials is amazing," said Schepmann.

Twigs make up train trestles and acorns top off smoke stacks. It's all the perfect background for holiday photos.

"We were commenting that we love the red colors this year, a couple years ago it was all white. We like the colors, and it just puts in the Christmas spirit," said Judy Newpold.

Newpold and Joan Cholak have been coming to these holiday exhibits for about 15 years.

"It's something we've done as friends every year. We look for things like this we can do together," said Cholak.

For the Rodriguez family, it's the first year they have come and found it perfect for the kids.

"When I saw it I just thought, my son is big into trains," said Daniel Rodriguez. "My daughter loves the flowers and the waterfall and all that."

While the trains are new this year, the poinsettia tree is a holiday staple at the Krohn Conservatory, reported ONN's Lisa Smith.

It features more than 200 plants grown in Cincinnati.

One type is called Freedom Red, but a number of varieties are scattered throughout the display.

A display that next year may double in size with more trains, trestles and traditions.
