Jase, 6, was the first of seven foster children Brandy Pryor and her husband welcomed into their home.

"We decided the greatest need in our community was for foster parenting," Pryor said.

Jase was only 6 weeks old when he was introduced to Brandy, and she said that they immediately fell in love.

"There has been nothing more rewarding for my husband and I,," Pryor said.

After 14 months, Brandy and her husband decided to adopt Jase. And now they are currently going through the process of completing another adoption.

"They (the children) want a home, they want someone to talk to, someone to hold them. They are typical all American children. Their families just made bad choices, they didn't," Pryor said.

Clermont County needs more foster parents like Brandy in fact they need a 100 more.

"These Children are Clermont county residents, and they deserve our help and our time to feel serene in their own comfort level, in their own school district, and in their own community," Foster Care Supervisor Erica Boller said.

Workers with Clermont County's Children's Protective Services said that drug addiction is the main reason families are torn apart.

Officials are forced to take innocent children from their parents...and place them in foster homes some as far away as Cleveland, Columbus and Portsmouth, ONN's Lot Tan reported.

"They understand why they are being removed. They understand it's not safe for them to stay at home but they don't understand why they have to be relocated so far from community, so far from everything they know. Their school, their friends, and their family," Deputy Director of the Clermont County Children Protect Services Tim Dick said.

Foster care workers first choice is to reunite children with their birth families but if that doesn't work out then adoption is the next best option.
