American Greetings laid off about 30 employees Wednesday.
A company spokesperson, Patrice Sadd, said that the cuts are scattered through different departments and part of the overall strategic focus of the company, ONN's affiliate WEWS reported.
The company said all associates will be offered a severance package and outplacement services.
American Greetings announced in May that it would be moving its headquarters from Brooklyn to Crocker Park in Westlake within the next three years.
