A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT for much of southern and parts of eastern Ohio Friday night.
Snow showers will increase in coverage and intensity Friday night.
Snowfall accumulations overnight will range from 1 to 3 inches for much of the state.
Locally higher amounts are possible across northern and eastern Ohio where as much as to 2 to 4 inches could fall.
Higher amounts are possible in the Snow Belt.
Snow will taper off to flurries on Saturday, however gusty winds will cause blowing and drifting snow to continue into Saturday night.
Much colder air will usher into the state tonight with temperatures dropping into the teens.
The temperatures will not move much Saturday with highs hovering in the upper teens to low 20's with wind chill readings near or below zero at times.
Skies will begin to clear Saturday night into Sunday with highs climbing into the mid to upper 20's to end the weekend.
Another chance for snow showers is likely Monday night into Tuesday.
