Powerball tickets now cost $2 instead of a dollar, but that's leading to a big payout.
The prize is currently more than $300 million.
According to the Ohio Lottery Commission, since Ohio joined Powerball in April 2010, there have been two jackpot winners from the state.
Powerball sales are up this year according to officials, but they report fewer transactions due to ticket prices going up.
Customers had mixed reaction about the price increase.
"I'm disappointed it went up to $2, but the chances of winning are still the same, one in a zillion," said Delores Brown who did not buy a ticket.
"I don't mind paying two bucks because the money is going to double. You'd get double the pot," Anthony Pugh said.
The odds of winning is one in 175 million.
Customers have until Saturday evening to get a ticket for a shot at the $325 million jackpot. The cash payout would be $193 million.
