Cavaliers rookie point guard Kyrie Irving has been cleared to play after missing three games with a concussion.

The No. 1 overall pick in last year's draft will start Wednesday night when the Cavs host the Indiana Pacers. Irving sustained a concussion Feb. 7 at Miami. The first high-profile case under the NBA's new guidelines on concussions, Irving had to be cleared by team and league doctors.

Irving participated in Cleveland's entire practice Tuesday.

Irving, 19, is averaging 18 points and 5.1 assists for the Cavs, who went 1-2 without him in the lineup.

Irving got the concussion when he was accidentally kneed in the head last week. He experienced headaches afterward and was diagnosed with the concussion shortly before the Cavs hosted the Los Angeles Clippers.
