Denise Alex
Reporter/Anchor
Before coming to ONN, Denise was the main solo anchor and producer of the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts at WTAP-TV in Parkersburg, W.Va.
She received numerous Associated Press awards for her anchoring and reporting in both southeast Ohio and West Virginia. One of those awards was for landing an exclusive interview with a Noble County man convicted of beating, raping, and killing his live-in girlfriend's 8-year old daughter.
Two other achievements Alex is proud of include helping unite Mid-Ohio Valley families with foster children through a monthly series called Wednesday's Child, and flying with West Virginia's Governor to Fort Bragg, N.C., to welcome home local soldiers arriving from Iraq.
Denise began her career at WBOY-TV in Clarksburg, W.Va., as a bureau chief. She also worked at WYTV in Youngstown, Ohio, as a reporter/producer.
Denise is a native of Cincinnati and a proud graduate of The Ohio State University.
In her free time, Denise volunteers at area humane societies, enjoys the great outdoors, and likes traveling and dining out.
