Eric Elwell's Forecast
A WINTER STORM WARNING ISSUED FOR ALMOST ALL OF OHIO. The next winter storm will move in overnight, spreading snow across the state from southwest to northeast. Snow will become heavy at times, although some rain may briefly mix with the snow across southern Ohio south of I-70 Tuesday afternoon. As the storm system moves by Tuesday night, winds will increase out of the northwest to over 30mph at times. This will create blowing and drifting snow with near white-out conditions possible at times late Tuesday night and through the day Wednesday. Snowfall amounts of up to 1 foot will be possible across northwest Ohio with 6 to 9 inches possible from west-central through central Ohio. Less amounts are expected across southern Ohio as due to the mixture with rain at times Tuesday. The heavier snow will taper off late Wednesday night with snow showers and flurries, along with frigid temperatures sticking around through Thursday.
