A man who grew up in Hamilton, Ohio was killed in Iraq on Thursday. 42-year-old First Sergeant Ricky McGinnis was killed when an improvised explosive device went off near his patrol in Muqdadiyah, Iraq. Sergeant McGinnis joined the army when he was 19 and was stationed in many places including Korea and Kosovo before going to Iraq. His unit was based out of Fort Hood, Texas.
