Governor Strickland will be making stops around Ohio today to reveal details from his first two-year budget.

He gave Ohioans a preview Wednesday in his first State of the State speech, saying the budget will be the tightest in 42 years.

Strickland says we should be prepared to sacrifice to restore the state's lagging economy.

Strickland is proposing pulling money from school vouchers and private colleges to give more toward public education, health care for children and property tax cuts for seniors.

Strickland says that continuing to divvy up the state's shrinking resources might make everybody "mildly satisfied," but nothing will be accomplished. He says seeking cuts and savings will enable the state to make "meaningful investments" to transform Ohio's economy.
