BOWLING GREEN, KY - Six Ohio residents have been sentenced to probation for looting an American Indian archaeological site in Kentucky.

All had pleaded guilty in federal court to looting at Barren River Lake in 2005.

Authorities say they entered federal land to dig for relics, including Early Woodlands ceramics that date back roughly to 1500 B.C to 300 B.C.

The defendants are Daniel Fisher of Cincinnati, Richard Kirk of Stout, Joseph Mercurio of Manchester, Tanya Mercurio of Manchester, Thomas Luecke of Cincinnati and David Whitling of Bellefontaine.
