PARMA, Ohio - State Treasurer Richard Cordray has created an online database of state-owned properties so the public can find unused properties in their communities and generate ideas for their development or use as green space. The database can be viewed by going to http://www.ohiotreasurer.gov and clicking on the Search State Users can search only by county and parcel size. The database then provides a list of properties, including parcel numbers and addresses. Most of the addresses list only the street name or city where the land is located. However, the parcel number can be used to get more specific property information from the corresponding county auditor's Website. Each property listed on the treasurer's database has a link that allows the public to send E-mail to the treasurer's office to report on the condition of the property and offer ideas for potential uses. |
